Stephen Nsengiyumva

Stephen Nsengiyumva grew up in Rwanda, where he was deeply involved in church life from a young age. At 26, he moved to the United States, where his passion for ministry and learning continued. He earned a Doctor of Ministry in 2014 from Faith Theological Seminary and later completed two master’s degrees from the Heller School at Brandeis University. He also holds a Ph.D. in organizational management from Carolina University.

In 2018, Stephen and his family returned to Rwanda to plant churches and serve their community. They started Christ Hope Community Chapel in Kigali, a church focused on the Bible and building firm, faithful believers. He also taught at local universities, sharing his knowledge with future leaders.

In 2024, the family moved back to the U.S. Stephen now works as the Africa Area Director for Christian Aid Mission and teaches part-time at Manna University. He lives with his wife, Amy, and their four children in Lynchburg, Virginia.
